The first rating was not fair and not good enough: The owner is not to blame for the fact that there was "only" management at the window and to go. The bratwurst we had was delicious. Therefor 5 stars!

Very good food, always fresh, very well presented and the mascot Buddy is simply awesome. We had eaten our way through the menu many times, everything was always delicious and to the point. Very friendly staff. Hopefully you can visit this place again soon. It's about time the lockdown is released. We wish this company a lot of strength to get through these difficult times. LG

Picked up goose on Christmas Day. It was prepared absolutely perfectly, big praise and THANK YOU! In addition to the expected red cabbage and dumplings, there were also baked apples and chestnuts as side dishes. Great, more than enough quantity and everyone tasted it very good.

Nice location, rustic forest management. We were served kindly. The game goulash tasted good, unfortunately the napkin dumplings were disappointing. Visually everything looked very good, but the taste and freshness were simply missing. Overall ok but not overwhelming.

We like to come here. So far we've always sat outside, even on weekends without a reservation. There was a lot going on today and it took a long time (at least for the children) before we could order. The food (game goulash, schnitzel and tarte flambée) was excellent. Until next time.

We went to eat there today with 6 people. We had reserved beforehand. We sat comfortably at the candlelit table. The food was served relatively quickly so that we could all eat at the same time. Salad, schnitzel, french fries etc. there is nothing to complain about. Very, very tasty. Well, there were too many onions on the onion schnitzel for my taste, but that's a matter of taste ... and better too much than too little. The two male waitresses were very nice and accommodating. All in all we were very satisfied

The food was good and the quality is fine for the price, but we had to wait more than 40 minutes for the food. That’s why I’m ranking it with 3 stars. Nevertheless the selection of wines is excellent.

Got here by accident. Nicely hidden in the forest. Despite the distance to the city, the trip is worth it. Was very well attended, but still got a covered outdoor space. Food, drinks, staff - everything was great! The location went straight to my favorites.

It is really very nice here! The forester's house is nicely renovated, outside you sit very nicely in the middle of the forest, inside it is cozy and cozy. Service courteous. Got a currant wine to try today. Delicious! There are classic dishes, vegetarian options and tarte flambée. Children can run barefoot and collect forest material. We have been regulars since 2008.

The homemade elderberry passion fruit lemonade was a treat. Just like the flamecake. The staff were very nice and accommodating. When we come by again we will be happy to take a seat with you.

The location is perfect on a hot summer day. It is five degrees cooler in the forest than in the city. The staff is friendly and the food is really good. We have been here several times and every dish - from veal escalope to beef liver or sausage salad - is really delicious. The prices are perfectly reasonable for the dishes and the portions are very large. Clear recommendation.

The trip was worth it. Idyllic spot in the forest. Staff friendly, food good and tasty. I will go again. Watch out! We didn't find the way straight away.

Food was really good.

We stopped at this authentic German restaurant after a long day out. It is quite a way into the woods near Stromberg but a fantatic location and great for hiking. Unfortunately the restaurant was full when we arrived but managed to sit outside. Although a little chilly the staff came out with blankets for us and our children. We ordered our food and drinks which came in good time and the food was traditional German and very good. The only thing to take into account is that they don’t take (non German) credit cards so take cash (although it was very reasonable priced). It should be noted that the staff in the restaurant were extremy efficient, friendly and thoroughly looked after us and I would highly recommend a visit for that alone. Many thanks we enjoyed our visit, we really enjoyed it. Wir haben in diesem authentischen deutschen Restaurant nach einem langen Tag angehalten. Es ist ein ziemlicher Weg in die Wälder in der Nähe von Stromberg, aber eine fantastische Lage und ideal zum Wandern. Leider war das Restaurant voll, als wir gingen, aber es gelang uns, draußen zu sitzen. Obwohl etwas kühl, kamen die Angestellten mit Decken für uns und unsere Kinder heraus. Wir bestellten unser Essen und die Getränke, die rechtzeitig kamen und das Essen war traditionell deutsch und sehr gut. Das Einzige, was berücksichtigt werden muss, ist, dass sie keine (nicht deutschen) Kreditkarten akzeptieren. Nehmen Sie also Bargeld mit (obwohl der Preis sehr vernünftig war). Es ist anzumerken, dass die Angestellten im Restaurant äußerst effizient, freundlich und sorgfältig um uns gekümmert waren, und ich kann einen Besuch nur für diesen Zweck wärmstens empfehlen.
